Organic Bodycare Shop go live with RMS EPOS

The Organic BodyCare Shop is the latest RMS client to go live with the Microsoft Retail Management System Store Operations (Microsoft Dynamics RMS).

Based in Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway, the Organic BodyCare Shop ("OBS") has recently taken delivery of their new EPOS hardware and software, received training and are up and running before the busy Christmas period really kicks in. Previously relying on a manual cash register, spread-sheets, databases and other manual processes, OBS now have a fully integrated and networked EPOS Till as well as stations to operate and control internet / telephone orders, goods-in and back-office purchasing. A real plus has been the integrated credit card chip-and-pin terminal. This saves so much time as opposed to the dial-up unit; we can really get customers on their way and avoid frustrating delays.

Behind the scenes of the small shop front in the picturesque harbour tourist town of Kirkcudbright lies a busy internet and mail-order centre busy fulfilling a rising number of orders and queries from the one central location. The shop-floor is also well stocked with a wide range of products for personal callers. OBS stock a range of carefully selected body care products that are friendly to the environment as well as the body.

OBS were looking for one system that could manage and control their stock moving forward as well as give them the back-office functionality and data management controls to keep on top of their business and maximize growth and opportunity. Bucking the trend of decreased high-street sales and margins, and witnessing a growth in the on-line channel, the owners at OBS decided to invest in their IT infrastructure (hardware and software) in order to meet demand and set a solid base platform moving forward. RMS was delighted to be chosen as the preferred supplier and to help OBS develop their business moving forward. Phase II of the project will feature a fully integrated web-store in conjunction with our partners at Nitrosell e-Commerce.
