Omni Scanners
Omni-directional scanning uses a series of curved or straight scanning lines that form a starburst pattern which are then projected at the symbol to be scanned. One of more of the scanning lines will be able to cross the spaces and bars of the symbol irrespective or orientation.
Most Omni-directional scanners use a laser which produces a pattern of beams in various orientations. This enables the scanner to read barcodes from many different angles.
